The students of the Berlin cohort in Waterloo's Bachelor of Knowledge Integration program invite you to experience “KI-X 2012: Capstone Design Project”, the culmination of their third-year project: The Museum Course. Since second year, they have been immersed in museums and the particular nature of the museum learning experience. Creating a museum exhibit is an interdisciplinary challenge in which rigorous research and design combine with team work to produce a unique experiential learning opportunity.
Beyond the traditional student project – an essay, presentation, film, photograph, or poster – the KI students have engaged in self-directed, classroom, and extended group learning to bring you a learning experience that showcases our museum knowledge and design expertise.
Touring the exhibits, you will learn about projective techniques and how companies use objects to identify consumer brand associations, about the social norms and values we learn from board games, about stress and stress-relief in everyday life, and about a framework for consumer decision making using a case study of chocolate.
