December 2015 D2L Update

The following are changes that were brought to Waterloo LEARN with the December 2015 D2L update:

  1. Dropboxes can now be setup with a Turnitin exemption for individual students. If a student has opted-out of using Turnitin for their assignments, an instructor can add an exemption for them within the course. Their assignments will not be submitted to Turnitin, even if Turnitin has been enabled for the Dropbox.

November 2015 D2L Update

There were no significant changes brought to Waterloo LEARN with the November 2015 D2L update.

October 2015 D2L Update

The following are changes that were brought to Waterloo LEARN with the October 2015 D2L update:

  1. The TA Level-1.5, TA Level-2, and TA Level-3 role rights have been restored to their pre-August settings. A change in D2L's August 2015 update made it necessary to allow these TA levels to edit dropbox folders, as a temporary workaround to ensure they could continue to grade student submissions. A fix was applied with this update to allow the elevated rights to be removed.

  1. The Assess Student menu item has been has been added to the View Topic page in Discussions while using Reading View. The menu item is not available in Grid View.
