Waterloo LEARN Help

Waterloo LEARN is a web-based learning management system that enables instructors to manage course materials, activities and assessments and to interact easily and efficiently with their students outside the physical classroom. It can function both as a component of on-campus  blended courses and as a platform for fully online learning. This Waterloo LEARN Support site provides general as well as role-specific instruction and information.

    There is currently an outage occurring with Rogers' and Fido's email-to-SMS gateway.

    ADFS (LEARN Authentication) Downtime

    The authentication system (ADFS) for accessing LEARN will be unavailable during Reading week from Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at 10:30 pm until Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at 12:30 am.  Please be aware that if you are already logged into LEARN during this downtime you may not be able to reach 3rd party software accessed through LEARN and the potential for losing access exists.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  3. Oct. 9, 2019Quick Eval -- Single Location for Instructors to View and Evaluate Submissions

    A Quick Eval link has been added to the  LEARN homepage navbar for faculty members. Quick Eval offers instructors a single location to view all learner submissions that are awaiting evaluation. Submissions made to Assignments, Quizzes, and Discussions are displayed in a sortable list and can be selected to take you directly to their assessment page.  Unfortunately, the tool can only be used by individuals who are faculty members with the role of instructor in a specific course.  Instructors can sort, filter, and search submissions to prioritize their evaluation work.

  3. Dec. 19, 2016Introducing Turnitin Feedback Studio

    Turnitin is being upgraded to Turnitin Feedback Studio for the Winter 2017 semester. This new version provides the same functionality, but uses an updated look and feel. Once you open the Originality Report you will see two tool bars on the right hand side. The blue one contains the GradeMark functionality and the red one contains the Originality Report functionality. There is also an option to return to the Turnitin Classic View.
