The first annual LEAP researcher meeting was held at the University of Coimbra in Coimbra, Portugal. The 2-day (June 12 -13) kick-off meeting brought together researchers the work package leads from the University of Coimbra, University of Waterloo, University of Copenhagen, and Stockholm University.

Summary
Researchers discussed and planned the upcoming work for the 3-year LEAP project. Key points of focus included: review of each deliverable, identification of data availability, discussion of appropriate methodologies for the research objectives, reporting of stakeholder workshops and HQP hiring activities, and formulation of project communication plan. Overall, the workshop was very productive and beneficial to the launch of the project. The full workshop agenda can be found here.
