New report considers time lags and uncertainty in water quality valuation

LEAP researchers from the University of Copenhagen have released a new working paper titled ‘Assessing the value of surface water and groundwater quality improvements when time lags and outcome uncertainty exist: Results from a choice experiment survey across four different countries’. The report is authored by Tobias Holmsgaard Larsen, Thomas Lundhede, and Søren Bøye Olsen.

Nandita Basu receives AGU's Sulzman Award for Excellence in Education and Mentoring Award

LEAP researcher, Nandita Basu, was awarded the Sulzman Award for Excellence in Education and Mentoring, presented by the American Geophysical Union – Biogeosciences section.

The Sulzman Award for Excellence in Education and Mentoring is presented annually to a mid-career female scientist in recognition of significant contributions as a role model and mentor for the next generation of biogeoscientsts. Nandita is recognized for her creative research skills, as well as excellence in science education and mentoring.

Joy successfully defends her MASc thesis!

Joy Liu, a Master's student with the LEAP project, successfully defended her MASc thesis. Her thesis is titled 'Checkered Landscapes: Quantifying Dominant Controls on Nitrogen Legacies and Time Lags along the River Continuum'.
