Legacy Effects Session Coming to AGU 2020

LEAP researchers Kim Van Meter and Nandita Basu are co-organizing a session at the American Geophysical Union 2020 Fall meeting focusing on impacts of legacies on our environment. The session, titled ‘Legacy Effects of Land Use on Water Quality, Watershed Processes, and Ecosystem Function’, is open for abstract submissions until July 29th.

Water Day on the Hill

Water Day on the Hill Delegation

LEAP researchers Nandita Basu and Philippe Van Cappellen were part of a delegation of 24 water scientists to participate in Water Day on the Hill. This event brought together top water scientists from 14 institutions across Canada to discuss key water challenges and solutions with federal officials on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

LEAP graduate students, Tamara Van Staden and Joy Liu, attended the 27th Internation Union of Geodesy and Geophysical (IUGG) General Assembly in Montréal.  2019 marks the 100th anniversary for IUGG.
