Wikipedia edit-a-thon: Indigenous women in the artsExport this event to calendar

Saturday, October 21, 2017 — 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM EDT

Only 10% of Wikipedia contributors identify as female, which has led to an under representation of women focused pages. The Kitchener Public Library, the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, Open Sesame and the University of Waterloo Library are co-hosting an edit-a-thon to disrupt this trend and improve awareness about Indigenous Women in the arts.

First-time and experienced editors welcome! New editors are encouraged to create an account ahead of the event. A limited number of computers will be available on-site, along with workspace for personal laptops. You are also welcome to participate from home.

Please note that space is limited. Those wishing to participate on-site should register ahead of time, but drop-ins are welcome on the day of the event.
