The tabs in the item record provide you with more details, the item location and the option to request it.

Use the "Where is it?" link in the item record to see where the item is on the Library floor plans. Use the call number to find the item on the shelf.

Where is it? example

You may place requests on most items at Waterloo, Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier Univeristy libraries, to be delivered to to your preferred location.

In the "Locations & Requests" tab of the item record, expand one of the available items by clicking the plus symbol (+), then click "Sign in to request" and follow the directions.

Where to place a request

You may recall items that are currently checked out. The current borrower will then have seven days to return the item to the library, regardless of the original due date. Placing a recall is your best option when you are hoping to access an item quickly and all copies are signed out.

Find ebooks the same way you find print books in the library catalogue. Use the "Online resource" link to access the online text. You may also limit your book search results to "Online resource" from the left sidebar.

See the Library's ebooks guide for more information, including alternate methods of finding content and information about accessibility.
