Rare books

About the collection

Located within Musagetes Library is a separate, environmentally-controlled Rare Book Room housing one of Canada's most outstanding collections of rare books on architecture and design. Titles in the collection date from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries, and include the Rosa Breithaupt Clark collection and the William Dendy Library.

Using the collection

All rare book materials can be discovered though the library catalogue. Rare books are available to any member of the public for viewing in our reading room.

Photocopying and scanning services may be available. Please contact us for more information.

Reading Room hours

Rare books are usually accessible Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm.

Specific hours may vary. Please consult the Musagetes Library hours for current information. Researchers are encouraged to contact us in advance to book an appointment.
