SUMMARY:Management Sciences seminar | Mahdi Roghanizad: \"Predicting\nCoope
rativeness: The Medium is the Message\"
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Is communicating via Skype or other video media equivalent to a
\nface-to-face meeting? We have known for some time that after\ninteractin
g face-to-face\, people can predict the cooperative behaviour\nof stranger
s with better-than-chance accuracy. But is this ability\naffected when com
munications are mediated by video technology? This\nstudy reports four lab
oratory experiments examining how different\ncommunication conditions affe
 ct cooperation prediction efficacy.
