Elora Quarry is a swimming spot only half an hour from Waterloo! Buy a ticket for a day of fun on the beach and in the water. Your ticket includes transportation from the University of Waterloo to Elora Quarry and back, as well as admission to the park! All proceeds from this event go towards the It Takes a Village campaign, which supports social enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The tradition continues on July 12, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to celebrate Engineering Day with our incredible community of students, alumni, professors and staff. This year's activities will include a colour throw (wear a white t-shirt!), BBQ featuring the famous 'Boggan Burgers, free treats and refreshments including purple Koolaid as well as soft-serve ice cream and popcorn, a photo booth, The Tool and The Tool Bearers, and so much more!
The Problem Lab invites you to watch the Quantum Valley Investments® Problem Pitch Competition.
Teams have each chosen an important industry problem, and will now pitch their research to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $30k in grant funding. The 5-minute pitches will demonstrate each competitor’s knowledge of their problem’s history, scope, and impact.
Since the last fundraiser was so successful, EWB has partnered again with Krispy Kreme to have another fundraiser to raise money for social enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa to help reduce poverty.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
