Management Engineering team wins at Velocity Concept pitch contest

CodeGem and the other winners

A team of management engineering students was one of 4 winners at a recent Velocity Concept pitch competition. Stephanie Mills, Ian Kemp and Kaylyn Lau, all in their third year, are developing CodeGem, an analytics tool powered by machine learning to be built into GitHub’s review process. The team took home a cash prize of $5000.

INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences) is the largest association in the field of operations research and analytics worldwide, which focuses on "scientific mathematical processes that enable organizations to turn complex challenges into substantial opportunities by transforming data into information, and information into insights that save lives, save money and solve problems".
