Management Science Awards 2020

This year, along with most other things around the world, our Management Sciences Annual Spring Awards ceremony was abruptly put on hold due to the covid-19 global crisis.

That can't stop Management Sciences from celebrating the achievements of our undergraduate Management Engineers (MGTE) and our Management Sciences graduate students (MMSc, MASc & PhD)!

Management Engineering capstone project wins first prize in international contest

Milan Preet Kaur was awarded first place at the INFORMS Undergraduate Operations Research Prize Competition for her team's 2019

Tech giant Amazon backs professor's AI research

Olga Vechtomova was the sole Canadian granted funding through the Amazon Research Awards program for faculty members at academic institutions in North America and Europe. There were 49 winners in all selected from proposals submitted in 2017.

Carpooling is more successful with people you like

A recent study by Prof. Bissan Ghaddar found that  encouraging carpoolers to ride with people they like could potentially decrease car use by 60 percent.
