The Master of Public Service program is pleased to announce their first Advisory Group of MPS fellows which consists of former distinguished ministers, bureaucrats, and mayors! The group is comprised of five honourable public servants who will use their knowledge of public policy and administration to offer career advice to MPS students about key ingredients for success, as well as offer insight about the public service culture. The advisory group will also work to market the MPS brand by generating interest in the program while creating networking and employment opportunities for students. The advisory group is comprised of the following members:
Frank Denton is the CEO of the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority, a regulatory body overseen by the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
Leah Myers is the former Assistant Deputy Minster responsible for income security and pension policy at the Ontario Ministry of Finance.
The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
