Picture of Navdeep BainsThe Honourable Navdeep Bains, P. C. served as a Member of Parliament for Mississauga Brampton South from 2004 to 2011. Navdeep has extensive parliamentary committee experience and in-depth knowledge of political party organizational structures. He is also an expert on a wide range of public policy issues including: International Trade, Government Operations, Small Business and Human Rights.

Navdeep was born in Toronto, Ontario. He completed his undergraduate degree at York University where he obtained his Bachelor of Administrative Studies (BAS). Navdeep went on to complete his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Windsor. He has also obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. Prior to being elected as a Member of Parliament, Navdeep worked in Accounting and Financial Analysis at Ford Motor Company of Canada as a Financial Analyst.


Throughout his life, Navdeep has demonstrated excellent leadership skills at work and in the community. He is a strategic thinker who is highly effective in solving complex problems and has demonstrated superior communication abilities in engaging effectively with a broad range of audiences. Navdeep is also a recipient of various community awards in promoting diversity. He is fluent in English, Punjabi and intermediate French.

Navdeep currently lives in Mississauga with his wife Brahamjot and their daughters, Nanki and Kirpa.
