TAX 619 - Taxation of Corporations

Professor Laiken has a primary interest in the effects of tax on financial decision-making. His research is directed toward understanding the law and how it applies to business and personal situations. Stan has taught tax to undergraduate and graduate students since 1971 and has received the Distinguished Teacher Award of the University of Waterloo. He is also the recipient of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association's L.S. Rosen Award for outstanding contribution to accounting education. Stan is co-author of the leading tax text, Introduction to Federal Income Taxation in Canada, and has authored or co-authored numerous articles for the Canadian Tax Journal. He has been a tax consultant with the accounting firm of Richter, Usher & Vineberg in Toronto.
