In collaboration with the Master of Taxation program, the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) is sponsoring an award, entitled "Canadian Tax Foundation Scholar." It is given to the graduating student who places first overall in the Master of Taxation program.

The award recognizes outstanding achievement by a student in an advanced tax program. The winner will have demonstrated exceptional ability in all aspects of taxation, rather than just one narrow field or course. By standing first in the program, the student has demonstrated a commitment to taxation, and the excellence in scholarship for which the Canadian Tax Foundation is known. Since the membership of the Canadian Tax Foundation includes CAs, lawyers, economists, academics and all others interested in tax, the award is open to students of all backgrounds.

The CTF Scholar award recipient will be chosen in May of each year after final grades are processed. The award will be announced at spring convocation. During the post-convocation reception, the recipient will be presented with the award and a cheque for $2,000.
