What is happening? Windows Desktop PCs joined to Nexus will have the offline files feature (also called client side cache) disabled on May 24, 2018. The change will take effect as part of the weekly Thursday morning reboot.
What is happening? As part of the continuous upgrade process for Windows 10, MFCF will be advertising a managed upgrade via System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for Windows 10 workstations that are joined to Nexus. The advertisement will allow you to select when the upgrade applies. Machines running Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 are not affected. This is expected to become a yearly event so these Windows 10 workstations are always on a supported release.
MFCF has built a workstation with high end graphics for Faculty of Mathematics researchers, graduate students, and instructors who want to get started with high end graphics computing. More information including how to get started is here.
