“Invest in curiosity”: an interview with Professor Gilles Brassard
Professor of computer science Gilles Brassard, at the Université de Montréal, is one of the pioneers of quantum information science. On June 17, as part of this spring’s convocation proceedings, the Faculty of Mathematics will award him a Doctor of Mathematics, honoris causa.
Shalev Manor and Gengyang Chen win Jessie W. H. Zou Memorial Award
The award, created by Dr. Ming Li and his family in honor of his late wife Jessie Wenhui Zou, recognizes and supports outstanding research at the undergraduate level.
Oliver Pechenik wins Golden Jubilee Research Excellence Award
The award, which recognizes outstanding research contributions within the Faculty of Mathematics, is presented annually to one or two early or mid-career faculty members.
