Dean's Message - August 2012

While many of us have been following the summer Olympics in London, alumnus and judo athlete Tim Rees is gearing up to compete in the paralympic games next month. Tim graduated with a PhD in Applied Mathematics last year and is continuing his research in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria.

Congratulations to Computer Science PhD student John Doucette, recently awarded a prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), in recognition of his academic achievement and leadership skills. John’s research on resource allocation in multi-agent systems is supervised by Professor Robin Cohen.
