In May, the University of Waterloo welcomed over 30 Ukrainian students to our campus, whose education had been disrupted by the war in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Photo Exhibit was created by these students to raise awareness and highlight the impact that the war in Ukraine is having on academics and civilians.

The Ukrainian Photo Exhibit will be on display in the DC Foyer from November 4 to 22, 2022 and we encourage all faculty, staff and students to visit to show their support.

We invite you to attend the Ukrainian Photo Exhibit in the DC Foyer on November 9, 2022, from 3 to 5 PM where Ukrainian students will share first-hand experiences with the war in their country and share stories about their country's resilience through their photo exhibit tours.

The Ukrainian Exhibit will also celebrate the National day of Ukrainian literature and language with specialty Ukrainian treats and other refreshments.

There will be a Ukrainian flag temporary tattoo and photo station, where you can show your support for the Ukrainian community by being a part of our "Stand with Ukraine" photo collage.

The exhibition is organized by the Ukrainian student community at UW and University for Ukraine (#U4U) Fundraising. U4U is a grassroots humanitarian fundraising initiative by students, staff, and faculty from the University of Waterloo. It aims to show our solidarity and provide relief for the victims of the war in Ukraine through major Canadian charities. Click here to donate.
