Why should I study here?

  • TU Graz has three campuses within walking distance of each other in the city of Graz, the second largest city in Austria. Graz is located in a green and heavily forested region on the eastern edge of the Alps.
  • Graz is known as a ‘college/university city’ with four colleges and four universities.
  • TU Graz splits their research into five fields of expertise with one being information, communication and computing with a specific focus in algorithms and mathematical modelling.

What majors/plans would be a good fit for this school? 

TU Graz has math and computer science courses available in English. Students would be able to find math courses from a range of different areas (statistics, actuarial science, number theory, combinatorics, optimization, geometry, cryptography, algorithms, security and game design).

University of Graz (UniGraz)


Why should I study here? 

  • University of Graz is the second oldest university in Austria (founded in 1585) and also among one of the largest universities in Austria.
  • UniGraz is located in Graz, the second largest city in Austria and about 150 kilometres southwest from Vienna. Graz is located in a green and heavily forested region on the eastern edge of the Alps.
  • Paul Guldin, who discovered the Guldinus theorem for calculating the volume of solids of revoluation, is affiliated with UniGraz along with 6 Nobel Laureates.
  • UniGraz is known for its art on campus with installations, sculptures and paintings dotted around campus for you to enjoy.

What majors/plans would be a good fit for this school? 

UniGraz has limited math and computer science courses available in English. UniGraz would be a good school to complete some of your non-math electives.
