We have three exchange relationships in France. Please select below for further information:

MICEFA

Why should I study here?

What majors/plans would be a good fit for this school?

There are limited math and computer science courses offered in English through MICEFA partner schools so it might be easier for you to plan to take non-math courses at the school you end up choosing.

General information

Please review the Waterloo Passport page for this school.

Transfer credit information

3 credits is the equivalent of 1 0.5 Waterloo course. A full-time course load is 12 credits but students usually only take 9 credits at their host school as 3 credits are usually obtained by taking the required 3-week intensive French course. Provided students take a total of 12 credits (including the intensive French course) and pass all credits, they will receive the equivalency for each course and then they will receive a MISC 2xx to account for the fact that a full-time course load through MICEFA is 12 credits. The MISC 2xx course counts as a miscellaneous non-math course.

Courses taken and equivalents

The students who have gone through MICEFA in the past five years have not taken any math faculty courses so we don’t have any current course equivalencies. If you’re matched to this program, you would choose a host school from the 17 partner schools and then you can follow the course approval process to obtain course equivalencies.
