MEET THE UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO’S FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS 

In our Mathematics/English Language for Academic Studies (Math/ELAS) program the ELAS courses taken at Waterloo-Conestoga College provides a recognized pathway to meeting the English language requirements for entry into the Faculty of Mathematics (includes the School of Computer Science).  As well you will take one Waterloo mathematics course for credit toward your Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree.

As well as wonderful instructors and staff, the English Language for Academic Studies Program offers opportunities to practice English outside of the classroom. Social and class activities, clubs and organizations and getting involved, will help you to make friends to create ever-lasting memories of your Canadian experiences. Our student experience reinforces learning with cultural and diversified exposure and meaningful interaction with Canadian English language speakers.

Though I was good in Math before coming to Waterloo, I now love math!  The Math/ELAS program taught me more writing, vocabulary and pronunciation. I learned how to communication in English!
