Mathematics International Student Career Event Survey

Draw Incentive Rules and Regulations

Eligibility:

Respondents that submit their responses to the Mathematics International Student Career Event survey will be entered into a random draw for 1 of 3 prizes of $10 added to their Watcard. Your odds of winning are based on the number of students who respond to the survey (approximately 90 attended the event and were invited to participate in the survey). Eligibility for the incentive opens on February 5, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. and closes on February 12 at midnight.

Please note that you do not need to participate in the survey to be eligible for the draw. To be included in the draw without participating in the survey, please send your name, email and University of Waterloo Student ID to Sara O'Donnell by February 12 at midnight. However, you must meet eligibility requirements (be an undergraduate mathematics student enrolled in the Winter 2019 term) to be able to participate in the draw.

All contact information collected for the purpose of the draw will be stored separately from survey responses and should be destroyed after the draw is conducted and prizes are collected. The draw will be conducted and winning students notified on February 14, 2019

Right to Disqualify:

The University reserves the right to disqualify any entry not conforming to these Rules and Regulations at any time. The University assumes no responsibility for entry fraud committed by an entrant and reserves the right to demand the return of the prize and all costs associated with remedying any prize awarded to an ineligible entry or entrant. The University is not responsible for any incomplete, failed or delayed transmission of your submission due to the internet, including interruption or delays caused by equipment or software malfunction or other technical difficulties.

Winner Selection:

All respondents that submit their survey responses will be eligible to win 1 of 3 prizes of $10 added to their Watcard. The winners of the $10 added to their Watcard will be selected in a random draw from eligible entries on February 14, 2019. Your odds of winning the $10 Watcard upload will depend on the number of individuals that enter into the draw (approx. 90 students were invited to attend). The award winner will be contacted by Sara O’Donnell within seven (7) business days of the draw at their Waterloo email account. The award winner must respond to the email within seven (7) business days or the prize will be passed on to the next eligible entrant.  The selected entrant must also correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing mathematical question.
