Winter 2015 - Exchange Program

Sweden – University of Lund
Lund is a vibrant student city in the southern part of Sweden. It's the perfect exchange location if you want to experience the Scandinavian culture. In Lund, there's sittnings (dinner parties with songs), nations (student clubs), and fika (coffee breaks).

Do you remember all new experiences that you had when you started university? The level of excitement during exchange is on par with that. You learn to adapt and make new friends from all over the world very quickly.

From an academic perspective, I'm currently taking Mergers and Acquisitions and will also be taking a few advanced statistic courses here to round out my degree. The scheduling is far more unstructured here, so there will be weeks where you have few classes. This gives you the opportunity to travel during your off time. With the help of Skyscanner, I've visited a new country each month! During my latest trip, I went to Kiruna to see the Aurora Borealis.

For future outgoing students, I'd recommend you to go to as many new events during your arrival week. Figure out what you like and what you don't like. Embrace the culture and just enjoy the ride. For those on the fence, I'd strongly encourage you to look into a study term abroad, as it's certainty taught me a lot and has been more than I could have ever imagined.
