B.Sc. (Honours) Candidate, Chemistry (Co-op) 2012-2018
Current Research: Analysing chelation between neurotransmitters and metal cations (Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn, and Al) to further understand the neurodegenerative pathway of Parkinson's disease. I am also using computational chemistry to predict the most stable structures of phenylalanine bound to glyceraldehyde, malonate or oxalate to determine the stability of zwitterion-dianion complexes.
Past Experience: Work as a summer camp counsellor and five years of volunteer activities at the Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre.
Interests: Computational chemistry, gas-phase ions, transition
metal clusters, anion-anion and zwitterion-dianion interactions.
