Kevin's research was featured in AIP SciLight, Covering Surfaces with Copper Destroys Coronavirus. The group found that thin films of the metal could have virucidal uses on common surfaces, masks. They tested different antiviral coatings against a coronavirus and found that only the Cu-containing coatings killed the virus.
