Naga Siva Kumar Gunda received his B.Tech degree with Gold Medal in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India in 2006, his M.Tech degree with Gold Medal in Reliability Engineering in 2008 from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India and PhD in Mechanical Engineeering from the University of Alberta in 2014.
Enrique Wagemann received his degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Concepcion, Chile in 2014 and PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Concepcion, Chile in 2018. His research interests involve the computational modeling of fluid phenomena at the nanoscale.
Sirshendu Misra joined the group in Fall 2018 as a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 2015 with B.Tech (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech in Thermal Science and Engineering as the topper of his specialization. His research interests include physical modeling of fluid flow processes both in macro and micro scale. He has been awarded the WIN Nanofellowship 2018 to pursue his PhD research on the wetting behavior of graphene and other two dimensional materials.
A-Reum Kim completed her dual BSc in Mechanical Systems and Design Engineering with First Class Honors from Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea and University of Northumbria, Newcastle, the United Kingdom in 2016. She obtained her MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang, South Korea in 2018. At present she is pursuing her PhD in Chemical Engineering (Nanotechnology Engineering) under supervison of Prof. Boxin Zhao and Prof. Sushanta Mitra.
Shamik completed his B.E. in Power Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata,West Bengal,India. After a short stint at West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company as Assistant Engineer he cleared GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test Exam, 2016) and joined IIT Madras as a MS scholar in Thermal Engineering in 2017. At present he is pursuing his PhD in Microfluidics as a part of the ‘Micro & Nano Bio-science and Engineering Group’ under Dr. Ashis Kumar Sen, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras (Supervisor) and Prof. Sushanta Mitra (Co-Supervisor).
Alakananda Das obtained her BSc Degree in Physics from S.A Jaipuria College, University of Calcutta, India, in 2008 and MSc Degree in Electronics Science from Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, West Bengal State University, India in 2010. She obtained an M. Tech. Degree in VLSI Design from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics (2014), University of Calcutta.
Hideaki Teshima, Ph.D. student in Kyushu University, joined MNT lab in Spring 2019 as a International Visiting Graduate Student for the next six monthes. He completed his BSc in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and his MSc in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. His research interests include the behavior of three-phase contact line. He received Research Fellowship for Young Scientists from JSPS for his research on solid-liquid interfacial nanobubbles.
Kiran Raj M received his B. Tech from the University of Calicut, Kerala, India and subsequently received his M. Tech and PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 2019. Prior to joining MNTL, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His research interests include biomicrofluidics and soft matter physics.
