University of Waterloo graduate reinvents hockey skate blades

Jeffrey Azzolin, a University of Waterloo graduate, has created a startup company to make better skate blades. 

The idea sparked in his fourth-year mechanical engineering design project. With the help of his supervisor, Professor John McPhee, the new blade design increases the acceleration, top speed and agility of the players by five per cent.
