Exoskeleton research by PhD candidate Brokoslaw Laschowski was featured in the keynote lecture by NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang at the 2021 NVIDIA GTC – GPU Technology Conference (see below the YouTube video).

Taking inspiration from autonomous cars, Laschowski is using wearable cameras and efficient convolutional neural networks to develop next-generation environment-adaptive control systems for robotic leg prostheses and exoskeletons.

For more information, see his latest paper “Computer vision and deep learning for environment-adaptive control of robotic lower-limb exoskeletons”. Laschowski is collaborating with fellow PhD candidate William McNally and Professor Alexander Wong, Canada Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Medical Imaging.
