Prof. John McPhee presents keynote at 2018 Asian Conference on Multibody Dynamics

Prof. John McPhee delivered the keynote address at the 2018 Asian Conference on Multibody Dynamics (ACMD) in China entitled "Multibody Dynamics and Model-Based Control: From Cars to Humans". The conference was hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in associated with the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM).

PhD students Valerie Norman-Gerum and Mahdokht Ezati recently presented their research entitled "Predictive Simulation of Sit-to-Stand" and "Forward Dynamics of Human Vertical Jump Considering Ellipsoidal Volumetric Foot-Ground Contact Model" at the 2018 Biennial Meeting of the Canadian Society for Biomechanics (CSB) in Nova Scotia and 2018 World Congress of Biomechanics in Ireland, respectively.

"On October 3, 2017, members of the Senate Committee on Transport and Communications toured the University of Waterloo Centre for Automotive Research, also known as WatCar. Senators participated in an automated vehicle demonstration with the University of Waterloo’s Autonomoose, the nickname engineering students use for their automated vehicle project."
