My research focuses on modelling, simulation, model-based control, and optimal design of dynamic physical systems.
Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Waterloo. My research focuses on studying the ability of humans to stand and regulate balance when wearing a robotic exoskeleton through the use of computer simulations of integrated human-exoskeleton multibody dynamics.
AliAsghar is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo, in the Department of Systems Design Engineering and a Research Assistant at the Motion Research Group. His main focus is on the modelling and predictive simulation of human movements during daily activities. In addition, he is interested in using various methods of deep learning for developing landmark detection models from medical images.
PhD student in the Motion Research Group.
PhD Student in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
Hisham is a Master of Applied Science student in the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
MASc Student in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
I'm a Masters of Applied Science student in the department of System Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
MASc Student in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
MASc Candidate in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.
I’m currently working in an engineering/application support role for the Motion Research Group (MORG) and the Smart and Hybrid Electric Vehicle Systems (SHEVS) lab.
I am a graduate student in Systems Design Engineering and joined the Motion Research Group in Fall 2024. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Waterloo with a specialization in Sports Engineering, where I gained valuable experience through internships in the research and development of medical devices and healthcare technologies. With a long-standing interest in biomechanics and performance enhancement, my current research explores hand-object contact interactions in sports, aiming to optimize performance and minimize injury risk.
I'm a PhD student in Motion Research Group, System Design Engineering, University of Waterloo. My research interests are human-robot interaction, rehabilitation robotics, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in this area.
