Fabio joined the group to work on new fluorination methods. He has particularly focused on fluorinative cyclizations using a fluoroiodane, and is currently testing new reactivity of vinyliodonium ions.

In addition to his NSERC and OGS awards, he was a 2021 recipient of a WIN Nanofellowship.
