Britten's masterpiece is a profound and eloquent testament to the horror of war.  It combines his powerful music with the Requiem Mass and the haunting images of soldier-poet Wilfred Owen.

A benefit event for the Good hearted Women Singers, this Music and Word Festival will feature Choirs from Laurier as well as the UW Conrad Grebel University Choir.

The Institute for Worship and the Arts of Conrad Grebel University College presents a morning with John Bell of the Iona Community.  John will present a workshop called “Doing Worship Differently: renewing congregational worship at the grass-roots level” on Saturday, October 5 in the CGUC Chapel.  Registration 8:30-9 a.m.  Workshop 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a refreshment break at 11 a.m.  Cost $35.  Please pre-register by contacting Alison Enns at aenns@uwaterloo.ca or 519-885-0220 x24217.
