Piano Graduation Recital - Caroline Bordignon

Joint Honours, Music and Fine Arts student, Caroline Bordignon will perform her final graduation recital for Music 428. She will be featuring the work of Beethoven, Ravel, Messiaen, and Bordignon. All welcome.

I had the privilege of being given the opportunity to compose a short piece in collaboration with my painting practice. The composition is founded on visual aspects of the painting (in progress) such as contrast, light and dark. It explores combining the time based properties of music with the visually still aspects of the painting, to create a sonic/visual cohesion. I also have displayed two other more abstract based paintings I have been working on this term, as I work towards creating a larger musical/artistic series.
