On Friday March 20, 2015, students from the Nanotechnology Engineering Program at the University of Waterloo will present their fourth year design projects at the 6th Annual Design Project Symposium.  

Twenty-four project teams will present their prototypes which include a controlled release fertilizer that can retain water, an ion thruster for microsatellites and our international design winners, Suncayr, a skin marker that can tell you when to reapply your sunscreen.

The Next 36 is a program that provides Canada's highest potential young entrepreneurs with the mentorship, capital and founder development opportunities they need to launch their ventures and create impact for years to come.  For eight months, 36 young entrepreneurs are mentored by successful Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders, taught by some of the world's top faculty, and seek funding from top investors to build their venture. 

Come out to cheer on our Nanotechnology Engineering students as they compete at the Velocity Fund Finals on Thursday, July 23, 2015.  Where a panel of judges from the local investor community will choose the top pitches from these startups.

Start of midterm week

The start of midterm week for Nanotechnology Engineering students is Monday, October 26, 2015.

The first ever Waterloo Undergraduate Nanotechnology Conference (WUNC) will be held at the Mike & Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre.

Last day of classes for the Fall 2015 term

The last day of classes for Nanotechnology Engineering students in the Fall 2015 term is December 4, 2015.

Exams for the Fall 2015 term

The Fall 2015 term exam period for Nanotechnology Engineering students will run from December 8 to December 22, 2015.
