When COVID-19 restrictions forced the Nanotechnology Engineering program to cancel its Capstone Design Symposium with just days’ notice, students quickly pivoted to present their own projects via online presentation seminars and honour the accomplishments of their classmates.
Congratulations to Nanotechnology Engineering’s iuvoderm, KnowStroke and Scope for their wins at the Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Awards for Capstone Design competition. These teams of fourth-year students brought home three of the six $10,000 prizes on offer at this annual pitch competition that recognizes innovative Capstone Design projects.

Congratulations to Han Liu, Daniel Stranart and Luke Wiersma for winning first place in the Innovative Design category of the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) with the product they designed with Darron Phann for their fourth-year Nanotechnology Engineering Capstone Design project.
