Congratulations to fourth-year Nanotechnology Engineering students Ahmad Lakhani, Matthew Pley, Methely Sharma and Eniko Zsoldos for their Capstone Design team’s recent wins at the third annual Biotechnology and Bioengineering Conference held at the University of Waterloo in November.

KnowStroke, which is working to develop a wearable device to measure biometrics for the prevention of heat related illnesses, collected $2,500 after winning two awards in the Capstone Pitch Competition: First Place and the People's Choice Award.

The Biotechnology and Bioengineering Conference (BioTEC) is Canada's premier student-run conference. It focuses on the intersection of healthcare and technology, connecting students, researchers, investors, professionals and entrepreneurs who share a passion for advances in biomedical technology.
