Waterloo has facilities to provide broadcast-quality audio and video feeds with a double-ender studio. Please contact us for details on how to book.

Parking (for media)

Parking passes are available for members of the media who come to the Waterloo campus for events or to interview faculty or staff. While we cannot reserve spaces, the passes allow members of the media to park a vehicle for free in several designated spots across campus.

    The University of Waterloo is appointing Jay Shah, a former startup co-founder and Waterloo alumnus, as director of its flagship entrepreneurship program, Velocity – the largest free startup incubator in the World.

    Shah joins Velocity from Google where the entrepreneur has worked since the tech-giant acquired the company he co-founded in 2012.

    Two studies involving University of Waterloo researchers presented this week at the 2016 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in Toronto highlight a new diagnostic tool that can identify Alzheimer’s disease long before the onset of symptoms as well as the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease in Ontario.

    The Social Impact Showcase will be celebrating the achievements of the 2016 GreenHouse Fellows, a talented group of innovators who are members of an accelerated social entrepreneurship program. The Showcase is hosted by St. Paul’s GreenHouse, a social impact incubator at the University of Waterloo.

    The Fellows have made tremendous strides on their startups and will be sharing their progress. Select Fellows also will be awarded Social Impact Fund grants for their next steps.
