Broadcast facilities

Waterloo has facilities to provide broadcast-quality audio and video feeds with a double-ender studio. Please contact us for details on how to book.

Parking (for media)

Parking passes are available for members of the media who come to the Waterloo campus for events or to interview faculty or staff. While we cannot reserve spaces, the passes allow members of the media to park a vehicle for free in several designated spots across campus. 

  1. Nov. 22, 2017Campus mourns loss of student

    It is with the deepest sadness that I inform our campus about the death of Jonathan Campbell Bennett, fourth year Architecture student at the University of Waterloo. Jonathan was fatally hit by a car while riding his bicycle. He died in Rome on November 21.

    Our hearts go out to Jonathan’s family, and the University is doing everything it can to support them at this time. Students, staff and faculty in Architecture have all been informed of Jonathan’s untimely passing.

  3. Nov. 14, 2017Top Canadian startups pitch to one hundred-plus investors during Ontario-California tech tour

    At opportunities organized by Canada’s leading entrepreneurship programs, more than 100 U.S. and Canadian financers lined up to evaluate 43 of the most investment-ready tech startups in the Toronto-Waterloo Corridor.

    The investors were introduced to the companies at an invite-only Demo Day event held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View California on November 7, as well as a similar event held for Canadian investors in Toronto on October 19.
