Broadcast facilities

Waterloo has facilities to provide broadcast-quality audio and video feeds with a double-ender studio. Please contact us for details on how to book.

Parking (for media)

Parking passes are available for members of the media who come to the Waterloo campus for events or to interview faculty or staff. While we cannot reserve spaces, the passes allow members of the media to park a vehicle for free in several designated spots across campus.

    The Waterloo Innovation Summit 2017 will bring together some of the world’s top private and public sector leaders to tackle the disruptive and defining trends that are driving innovation in Canada and globally. 

    Presented by the University of Waterloo in partnership with Communitech, this event September 13 to 15, 2017 will engage and inspire CEOs, entrepreneurs, academic, community and policy leaders.  

  2. Mar. 28, 2017 Startups compete for $125,000 total funding at the Velocity Fund Finals

    The University of Waterloo hosts the Velocity Fund Finals this week, where 20 teams of Waterloo students and recent alumni will pitch their innovative startups.

    Teams have a chance to win a share of $125,000 in seed money and space at the Velocity Garage. Velocity is a comprehensive entrepreneurship program at Waterloo, and the Velocity Garage is the largest free startup incubator in the world.

  3. Mar. 24, 2017Waterloo's FIRST Robotics competition draws robotics teams from across Ontario

    Thirty teams of high school students with a passion for designing, building and programming robots will be competing at the annual Ontario District University of Waterloo FIRST Robotics Competition this weekend. 2017 marks the 13th year of FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC) at the University of Waterloo, the longest-running FRC event in Canada.
