Ontario’s top science students compete at Sanofi Biogenius Canada
Twelve of southern Ontario’s elite young high school scientists will compete at the regional edition of Sanofi Biogenius Challenge Canada (SBC), the country’s most prestigious national student science research competition, Tuesday, April 12, at the University of Waterloo
The students will present their groundbreaking research projects and compete for top honours, including the chance to represent Ontario at the SBC 2016 National Final in Ottawa on May 2 and May 3.
Media are invited to attend the day-long event. Students will give a brief oral presentation followed later by a public research poster viewing during which they will be available for photos and to answer questions.
“We’re honoured to host this event once again,” said Canada Research Chair Brian Dixon and event coordinator. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase amazing students, foster strong high school-university relationships and promote science.”

Sanofi Biogenius Canada is a national science research competition open to high school students, which since 1992, has helped over 4,000 young Canadians pursue real-world scientific research projects that have been the launch pads to future studies and careers.
