Ten student teams from the University of Waterloo will pitch their startup ideas today for a chance to compete for the Hult Prize, worth $1 million USD.

The Hult Prize is a global challenge where some of the world’s brightest business minds compete to solve the planet’s greatest social problems through the development of innovative, sustainable startups. This year’s competitors will present their ideas to build a sustainable, scalable startup enterprise that restores the rights and dignity of 10 million refugees by 2022.

The winner of this University-wide competition will represent Waterloo in the regional competition in Boston in March. Regional winners will compete for the grand prize at the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in September.
