The second lecture for this year's TPA Lecture Series will take place on October 9th, 2013. We have the distinct pleasure of introducing Drs. Arthur Bookman and Allan Slomovic for the lecture. These two doctors are both clinicians/ researchers and known to be experts in their fields, which includes Sjogren disease. They are involved with the multi-disiplinary Sjogren Clinic at Toronto Western Hospital, and are on the Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Boards of the Canadian Sjogren Society. They bring a unique perspective to patients with primary and secondary Sjogren syndrome, and have considerable experience in the management of this elusive disease, which is very relevant to optometry.
Drs. Bookman and Slomovic will provide a two hour lecture entitled, "Update on the Diagnosis and Management of Keratitis Sicca and Sjogren Syndrome".
All third and fourth year students, faculty, and graduate students are invited to attend a light dinner, which will begin at 5:30 pm, with the lecture following at 6:00 pm in the third floor lecture hall (OPT 347).
