The next presentation for this year's TPA Lecture Series will take place on Wednesday, October 29th. Dr. Hugh Jellie will present a lecture entitled, "New Trends and Innovation in Refractive Surgery (LASIK)".
All third and fourth year students, graduate students, faculty and staff are invited to attend a light dinner at 5:30 p.m., with the lecture following at 6:00 p.m. in the Barb & Jacob Sivak Lecture Theatre (OPT 347).
Biography of presenter
Dr. Jellie is a cum laude graduate of the University of Western Ontario, 1980. He interned at the University of Toronto and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Western Ontario.
He holds a Fellowship in Corneal and Anterior Segment Surgery from Duke University in North Carolina. Dr. Jellie has an ophthalmic practice in Kitchener-Waterloo and he has been performing corneal and refractive surgical procedures since 1986.
In addition, Dr. Jellie performs Implantable Contact Lenses and has been doing LASIK since 1999. Dr. Jellie is currently Medical Director at the TLC Laser Eye Center, located at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of Waterloo.
