The School of Optometry and Vision Science is proud to host the XIV Biennial Meeting of the Child Vision Research Society (CVRS), which we are jointly hosting with the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
The Child Vision Research Society comprises researchers from many different countries and disciplines and is dedicated to the vision of typically and atypically developing children, from basic science to clinical management. This is the first time that the CVRS conference will be held in North America and it will bring together delegates from all over the world. The organising committee is headed by Dr. Susan Leat and includes Debbie Jones and Dr. Carol Westall (SickKids). We are pleased that there has been a record number of abstract submissions compared to the last two times it was held with delegates coming globally from as far away as New Zealand, Nepal and Malawi.
Speakers will cover topics of amblyopia, refractive and visual development, visual assessment, perceptual development, prematurity and ocular disease. Posters will cover similar topics plus issues around children with developmental disabilities and low vision.
More details, including the detailed programme can be found on the 2013 CVRS Conference web site.
Registration is open until May 10th 2013.
