Our Waterloo Optometry Clinic has moved to the nearby location of 419 Phillip St., Unit C, as of October 21, 2024. This location will be open until late 2026 while the Waterloo Eye Institute is under construction. Our downtown Kitchener location (Health Sciences Optometry Clinic) remains open with no change to service.

Dr. Milica Radisic is a multi-award winning researcher who will present a lecture on organ-on-a-chip devices.
Dr. Ofua Oteng Asare will present a talk with the following objectives: 1) vision screening practices in pediatric primary care clinics in the United States with a specific focus on Utah, 2) the factors that influence access to vision care and vision-related outcomes in pediatric primary care, and 3) digital health interventions that mitigate barriers to accessing vision care in pediatric primary care.

We are excited to announce that our annual Vision Science Graduate Student Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, this year!
The School of Optometry and Vision Science Alumni Weekend will be filled with 12 hours of continuing education (CE) credits, a mini tabletop tradeshow, School of Optometry tours, a Director's Luncheon, and some fun social activities for you to enjoy. This will be an exciting opportunity to receive valuable CE credits while also visiting the School and connecting with colleagues. Although some aspects of this weekend are planned with alumni in mind, this event is intended for all ODs interested in visiting the School, as well as those who practice locally in the Region of Waterloo!
Santani Teng, PhD, specializes in auditory and visual perception, neuroplasticity, haptics, echolocation, and assisted mobility in sighted and blind persons. He will present a lecture about braille letter perception in blind readers.
