In 2012, 25 North American optometry programs participated in the World Sight Day Student Challenge, which benefits Optometry Giving Sight. Waterloo competed for the first time this year by hosting its ‘Dining in the Dark’ event in the fall. Thanks to the efforts of our student leaders and all those who participated, Waterloo came in first, with our sister school, Montreal, coming in second.
