Stem cell donors needed for Karam Kaur

Karam Kaur

One of our Optometry students, Karam Kaur, has been diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer and will need a bone marrow stem cell transplant.

To help Karam find a matching donor, we’re encouraging people between the ages of 17 and 35 to register for Canadian Blood Service’s stem cell donation program, either in person or online. As part of the registration process, you’ll be asked to swab the inside of your mouth to collect cell samples.
