Lyndon Jones, Director of the Centre for Contact Lens Research and professor with the School of Optometry and Vision Science, won the 2014 Glenn A. Fry Lecture Award. This is an annual award presented by the American Optometric Foundation and the American Academy of Optometry to an individual who has made meaningful research contributions to the field of optometry.
Jones is actively involved in a wide range of optometry research, having published more than 250 journal articles to date. His research areas include drug delivery, contact lens performance, and clinical trial design. He is also a registered optometrist and supervising clinician in the contact lens clinic at the University of Waterloo.
Jones will give a presentation of his research findings at the American Academy of Optometry Annual Meeting Awards Program taking place mid-November in Denver, Colorado.
